Drillster BV offers an adaptive online learning- and testing platform, which can be used to develop, to test and to maintain knowledge, in a fast and efficient way. Companies, organizations, educational institutions and individual users can upload teaching material available on the platform for their own use or use by trainees, students or others.
To allow you to use the service, Drillster BV can collect the following personal information about you.
You need an account to access the Drillster service. Drillster BV offers free and premium accounts. You can create an account yourself or your account can be created for you by your company, school, training institute or sports club. Drillster BV asks for some personal information when you create a free Drillster account. Typical personal information that we store is:

It is also possible to create an account or to log in via your Facebook, Microsoft, Google or Edmodo account. If you do so, Drillster BV will collect the general information of your profile on the concerning platform. Moreover, that information will most often be specified by the concerning platform before you accept to log in.
For the use of social media and third party services, you are bound by the conditions for use of those services. Drillster BV has no control over such third parties and thus cannot guarantee that these third party services use your personal data in accordance with applicable legislation.
Drillster BV stores and processes all of the information and content (drill and test content) that you make available through the Drillster application.
After termination of your account, Drillster BV shall automatically remove your account. After personal data or drill and test content have been deleted, it can take up to five days before all personal data and other related data will be deleted from all systems.
You can subscribe to Drillster’s newsletter on the website. Our newsletter will keep you informed of the promotions Drillster BV organises. You will receive the newsletter on a regular basis. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you can unsubscribe by unselecting the newsletter box in the “my profile” section of your Drillster account or by using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of each newsletter . A possibility to unsubscribe is also included in every individual newsletter. In case you unsubscribe, Drillster BV advises you to regularly check the website for new developments or promotions.
When using Drillster, Drillster’s servers automatically record certain information about your use of the Drillster service. Similar to other web services, information such as account activity (including storage usage, number of log-ins), data displayed or clicked on (including UI elements, links); and other log information (including browser type, IP address, date and time of access, cookie ID, and referrer URL) is recorded. Drillster functions on the basis of an algorithm that drives personalized learning. The mentioned information is used to provide you with a correctly functioning adaptive learning and testing service.
Drillster makes use of data centers in the Netherlands and in the United States of America. Depending on the region that the user resides in, the personal data will be stored in one of these data centers. Organizations that have signed a user agreement with Drillster can enforce that all its user accounts are stored in the same geographical data center, being either in the Netherlands or the United States of America. Personal information is always encrypted. Drillster has taken measures to ensure that the transfer of personal data from the Netherlands to the United States of America, is in compliance with Dutch privacy legislation.
Drillster BV stores, processes and maintains your account details and stored subject matter and other data related to your account in order to provide the service to you. An email address is required to enable you to set and reset your own password and to send notifications that are part of the default Drillster service offering. Notifications can be sent if you are invited to participate in a training, when drills or tests have been shared with you, or when it has become time to brush up on your knowledge. Notifications can be sent by email or through the notification service of your iOS or Android mobile device.
Should you use Drillster as part of a training provided by your company, training institute or school, then the name details are used to identify your scores for reporting statistics.
Drillster also uses your email address to periodically update you via email on new features and functionality that has become available on the platform. Drillster never uses personal data for commercial purposes and never shares personal date with third parties.
Drillster employees do not have access to personal data with exception of the employees of the support desk who may have to use your user name (email address) and/or name details to research your account in case you report service issues.
Without your explicit consent Drillster BV shall not provide your personal information to third parties for the purpose of direct marketing.
Drillster BV may provide your personal data to third parties only if this is necessary to perform the services requested by you. Drillster BV may also provide your personal data to third parties if you have given explicit consent to do so and/or if the information cannot in any way be traced to you. Also, Drillster BV may provide your personal data to third parties if Drillster BV is obliged to do so on account of national or international laws, case law and/or regulations, if Drillster BV considers it necessary to do so in defense of its own rights.
If you forward stored subject matter to another user or if you publish drills to the drill store, then Drillster includes and stores the name details of the originator in the forwarded or published copy.
Drillster BV takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your (personal) information against loss or any form of unlawful use.
If you wish to know what information Drillster BV has collected about you or if you wish to change data that you cannot change yourself in your Drillster account (my profile section), then you can send a request for information on your personal data to firstname.lastname@example.org. Drillster BV will respond to your request within four (4) business days. If you then wish to correct, add, remove or screen your personal data, you may send another request thereto. Drillster BV will then respond within four (4) weeks to such a request. If Drillster decides to deny your request, it shall inform you on the grounds of this decision.
Please be advised that you can review the personal data that is stored in your Drillster account by going to the “My profile” section in your Drillster account. You can amend this data yourself. You may also change your Drillster account settings through the “My profile” section.
